Rome wasn't built in a day, but a village of 10 houses created out of 3D printed concrete parts has been constructed in just one day in Shanghai, China. And the even better news? Each one only cost around $5000. Oh, and they’re partly made out of recycled waste, too.

They aren't very big, but will provide shelter to people who have none, for example after an Earthquake. It seems reasonable that bigger houses are possible to print, too--just change the design and printing instructions.

hmm. I saw something about printing guns. It seems like the reinforcing wouldn't do very much. I like the concrete "printing" concept. Concrete is difficult to lay out in a form. This is a controlled means of squirting it out. All in one day. Impressive.
