Can there be quantum fluctuations within a singularity?

Well, with classical gravitational singularities one would expect the quantum nature of space-time to regulate these. The fluctuating or granular nature of space and time may smear out these singularities. However, without a proper theory of quuantm gravity it is hard to say exactly what happens.
