I have a technical communication class this semester, and I was planning on writing about fullerene and it's application in creating nanotubes. I figured it was a good topic that could relate to the real world in its application for creating synthetic materials. Among a few other ideas I had, I thought this was the best topic. Most people here understand "a paper describing the achievements of your research", but you more likely mean "a report about the current state of research by other people".
