And the networking is the interconnection of computers by using a wired or wireless media. but what is the relation between networking and operating system. Yes. An OS provides services to applications programs ; some of these services are dedicated to networking. the networking is the interconnection of computers by using a wired or wireless media Yes. So, networking is an action (or the result of this action). And an action is not the same as a software. Perhaps can we say that networking involves the existence and cooperation of components of each Operating Systems of the devices participating to the network. So networking is not an OS. But an OS must includes network services in order to make a computer able to connect to a network.
