exist gravitation force at colliders ?

Recommended Posts

Gravity is suppressed as compared to the other forces at the energies and distances probed by the RHIC and LHC. Only near the Planck scale would we expect quantum effects of gravity to be significant, but semi-classical effects and classical effects could be important in strong gravitational fields. The gravitational field of the Earth is not significant for collider experiments. Near black holes, for example, the effects of the gravitational field on elementary particle physics is expected to be significant. Hawking radiation is one predicted phenomena.

The only possible clause here is if energy scale of quantum gravity is actually a lot lower (or the length is larger). Large extra dimensions could be a possible scenario in which quantum effects of the gravitational field are far more accessible than one might think.
