lamp
The title says it all, can they turn the mic of my laptop on even if it's disabled in the windows settings?
StringJunky
I'm not an expert on this but you can set a router to Exclude All to your network by default and then selectively allow which MAC addresses can access your network. g-wiz
Yes, they could. If a hacker has access to your machine, and they are a good hacker not just a skiddie, then yes they could easily control all aspects of your system including but not limited to your microphone. lamp
Though, my question is, will it show enabled (after they turn it on) or will it remain disabled in the settings - and in fact it is enabled - but I just see it as disabled?
khaled
If you work on a Unix-based OS, they need the root privileges, nothing less ... and If you are working on Windows, make sure you have a Security System, not just an anti-virus !
