Ringer
More specificity would be nice. What do you want to know about the brain? The most basic things like neurons, or things like neurotransmitters, or just the overall anatomy?

DrmDoc
Can anyone recommend a technical book for the begginer on the brain? Is that even possible. Thanks. For functional anatomy, Kolb B., Whishaw IQ., Fundamentals of Human Neuropsychology, New York: Worth Publishers. Or, Nolte,J., The Human Brain: An Introduction to Its Functional Anatomy, St. Louis: Mosby Publishers. For pure anatomy, Netter F.H., Atlas of Human Anatomy, New Jersey: Icon Learning Systems Publishers. I hope this helps.

Ahsan Iqbal
There are a lot of books on brain and nervous system. Medical students read the neuroanatomy that is related to it. So if you want details of medical level, you can find a lot of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology books that will tell you a lot about the anatomy and physiology of brain and nervous system.
