Two meteors just missed Earth early this Wednesday

I am just wondering why this post is in the ethics section.

Per the topic, meteorites that size might not even have reached the ground. Meteorites in the 5-10m range hit the Earth about once a year, and they just explode in the upper atmosphere. From the ground it might look like a distant lightning flash. They need to be a lot bigger to really cause damage.
