Martin Posted July 22, 2004 Share Posted July 22, 2004 What YT is asking for is what he calls "Cognitive" devices (rhymes, sentences etc) to aid in remembering science stuff. in American english we call such things "mnemonics" you have a mnemonic sentence or mnemonic rhyme to help recall something. More and more these days people are using the Planck length But there is no mnemonic to remember the formula there is a formula for it in terms of hbar, c, and G the gravitational constant. can anyone come up with a mnemonic for the formulas defining the Planck length or the Planck area? the area is another useful quantity and it is the square of the length. the Planck length and area are examples of natural units---ones cropping up more and more these days.
