The two were between 98-99% concentration and the Nitric acid was defined as "Red and Fuming" . I was wondering, is it possible to -using distillation - create solutions of these molarities without F-ing up your lab equipment ? Oh and I know, this is not something to try at home . Horza2002 Posted December 11, 2009 Share Posted December 11, 2009 In theory you might be able to....you'd have to remove the water from a solution to make it more concentrated...however I really doubt you'd 1. be allowed to do it and 2. your glassware would survive!
