I just finished a real technical Sci-fi I couldn't put down. It's about evolution on a neutron star involving time, energy, gravity, and a little philosophy. Lots of diagrams in the back.

Dragons Egg, by Robert L. Forward

I recommend it highly.

Just aman

I just finished reading the first "Dune" book. I got the ones I'm reading now from Christmas too.

Stephen Hawking's "Universe in a Nutshell"

Dean Koontz "From the Corner of His Eye"

off and on books:

Plato's "Republic"

Analects of Confucius

Both are slow reads.

I've just read both of those books within the past two months. Hawking's book was good, Plato's was slow. It was required reading for my philosophy course though. I ended up with a B- on the paper :eek: (but thats because my TA was a nazi)

I dont like analects actually. I dont really like Confucius philosophies. I like the Dao De Jing by Lao Tzu better, or Kauthilya's The Art of Wealth.

I've been reading the Tao Te Ching (Dao De Jing, same thing different spelling). I'm doing one section a night cause it's so different from my way of life. I'm trying to learn from it, sort of like what some people do with the Bible, except I won't take it word for word ;)

Yeah Dao De Jing is pretty good, but i like Kauthilya's Art of Wealth better. Its REALLY good, you should go get it. Thomas Cleary translated it. Kauthilya is the "Hindu Machiavelli and Aristotle".

Also get "The Book of Leadership and Strategy" by Thomas Cleary translation. Its a Daoist classic, i like it better than the Dao De Jing aswell.

Started reading "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, by J.R.R. Tolkien for the fifth time. I can't get enough of it! Awesome movies, too. The Two Towers movie was way better than the Fellowship of the Ring. Lots of fighting.

I cant stand reading way technical stuff like "Time Travel in Einstein's Universe". Makes me want to throw up.

And muslims are bass akwards. They got everything screwed up in their qoran. They are irritating.
