Do you make a comment in all the threads or are you gonna post?

I was going to make a reply about how my top 20 were already posted, in Sayonara's link, but then I realised that your post here doesn't actually make any sense.

1) "Saiyûki"

2) "Miu meng yan che"

3) "Chu long ma liu"

4) "Shinobi no mono"

5) "Siunin Wong Fei-hung tsi titmalau"

6) "Wu dun ren shu"

7) "Ciao maschio"

8) "Long zhi ren zhe"

9) "Da no tien gu"

10) "Jûbei ninpûchô"

A lot of these are Hong Kong films

in Cantonese dialect

and contain plenty of martial arts

kick and hack-work

Siunin Wong Fei-hung tsi titmalau

is "Iron Monkey" in the english version

I gather it can be pretty grim unless one really likes Martial Arts.

there are some japanese too

Shinobi no mono

is indeed Ninja

and i think also

Saiyuki

The Last Samurai is one that I like, and all other movies where people fight with swords or guns or have some other form of entertaining violence :D

How about you watch "Faces of Death" I hear that has lots of very realistic violence.Maybe even real.

I can't believe noone has mentioned

"Once upon a time in America"(the unedited and uncut version")

The direction is absolutely stunning. top notch cast. de niro plays his best in here. The dialogues are also amazing. the unedited version has a run time of almost 4 hours!! 2 full dvds. it starts off a lil bit slow, but once it gets into it , it really messes with ur mind.

I really reccommend u get this film. as its one of the great classics.

Also "Taxi driver" and "Reservoir Dogs"

anyway GET "Once upon a time in america" rent it. buy it, whatever, JUST WATCH IT.

And not "Stalingrad"? In my opinion the best war movie ever made, and with Germans speaking German and Russians speaking Russian.

Speaking of war movies, I also loved "A Midnight Clear".

Let's just say I'm not a big fan of action movies with happy endings...

i hate happy endings. sad endings are more memorable. like when the hero is trying to disable a time bomb, and u see the counter going down. u expect the hero to save the day at 1 sec to go. but if the bomb just went off killing him and everyone round him, it would be so much better

also in Armegaddon, the ending would be better if the asteroid hit the earth.
