daisy Posted June 5, 2004 Share Posted June 5, 2004 Well, Yew contains Taxol.....a potential anti-carcinogen postulated to be useful in the fight against breast cancer, foxglove contains digitalis which is a heart stimulant, coca is the source of cocaine (a potential painkiller....in the right hands!!!!) Let me add some others...comfrey, a herb used to heal wounds/bones, willow bark (aspirin, a pain killer)....everything is a poison if overused. That's the take home message.
