The download speed is really very very low for my computer. I have to use a free proxy server when I want to visit an overseas website, which lowers the speed greatly, or I have to pay out a lot of money for accessing to overseas website directly.

 

Slow as it is, I still enjoy visiting this Scienceforms.

Any way, this is just my opinion.....

 

I have 3 megabit tested by the link in the first message...and I use Cable

 

I dont think it really matters on "ur" speed for downloading as long as yours is broadband....because mostly, to me, the speed really depends on the site where u r downloading........

You may be half right on this one, in my opinion. Sometimes, a site can get crowded, and in that case, slow down your download speed. But, the main thing that slows down a site's speed is the content that needs to be downloaded. If a site has lots of pics and all, then, it would increase the amount of time taken to download the files.
