wade.daniel.w
I've notice when listening to music, even music w/o lyrics, it can have an influence emotions, and started to wonder, can this same response be use to correct emotional disorders therapeutically? Any thoughts on this?

wade.daniel.w
wow, there's already a science made out of it and everything, nice. Glad I live in an age where I can see my idea's already thought of and matured!! Thanks.
poiu
The 'psychological'/qualitative effects have long been studied, and a lot of work is now being done on quantitative (measurable) effects. Eg. a physiotherapist I know about in South Africa did a Ph.D on the effect of music on immunology, and found that patients exposed to certain types of music had significantly higher immune 'mechanisms' available (measured by blood tests in a pathology lab) than control groups.
