How to build a space elevator?

Ok, so, I'm presuming everyone is familiar with space elevators, as they've been discussed here plenty of times, so I thought I'd pose a special challenge.

Imagine we have all the parts - we have the ground station, the satellite, the elevator, and the super-strong cable.

How do you put it all together?

this is what i would do. i would use the earths magnetic-field to hover a station in the upper part of the sky

and use storm clouds for a 2nd power "we know how to make it rain"

then use the super-strong cable and hook it to the moon

"and we should use the pull of the moon to speed the ride up"

the hovering sky station would move with the moon around the world

this way everyone can use it

and everyone helps to pay for it

Earth's magnetic field is not strong enough to hover anything in the sky

The moon is not stationary in respect to the earth surface, hooking the "cable" to the moon would result in the cable being wrapped around the earth like a spool of thread.

Strong enough cable would therefore pull the earth and moon together? Or speed up the rotation of the earth? Or slow it down?

But how to couple them? Feed the cable up from the ground? Down from space? The former has problems with supporting it as you move it up, while the latter has problems with air resistance and shifting the satellite's center of gravity.

I think we should create it in segements and connect them with an electro magnate. We could power the magnet with the wind and sunlight. We should carry the pieces with drones and not worry about the spinning of the earth if it were to assembled it in a hour. Dose that sound practical?

it would slow down the speed of the moon

one side of the cable hooked to the moon and the other side to the hovering sky station

the hovering sky station would go with the moon around the earth
