Monomer Posted September 3, 2008 Share Posted September 3, 2008 I'm not a doctor, so I don't know for sure, but it seems that "trilineage" just confirms that 3 cell lineages are affected. There's no "bilineage" pancytopenia, but there's bilineage cytopenia. Trilineage cytopenia is pancytopenia, so maybe at sometime "trilineage" was added to pancytopenia for confirmation and it's stuck, but it is really redundant. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
