Then, when I upgraded to this computer, they ran fine, but now it does it often enough. I'm thinking that I probably have more stuff running in the background for some reason and taking up enough RAM, but I just wanted to check. [edit] Yeah, never mind. Even for Linux, 256 MB is not enough anymore, as it has 76 MB free of RAM and using 195 MB of swap, as well, without even running a video. But then, when I run a video, it has a very trivial effect on the numbers - like only a few kb/sec. Ahh, the ones that skip download at about 175 kb/sec. Also, does anybody know why ipv6 keeps turning itself back on? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
5614 Posted April 17, 2008 Share Posted April 17, 2008 If you go Control Panel > Network Connections > right click on LAN > untick IPv6 and then OK, does it not save the setting? I don't seem to have an IPv6 service (in services.msc), and there's no mention in msconfig (other than a help service), so I'm unsure why it would turn itself back on. What OS are you using?
