Don't ask, don't tell.

Neigh.

Doesn't surprise me though. I was in jewellery for some time and got to the stage I could give a rough approximation of silver content in and country of origin of rings.

Quite true. Since diabetics don't respond to insulin (or stop producing it) glucose is not taken up by the liver. It must be excreted by the kidneys, therefore.

Diabetes mellitus is caused due to lack of insulin, which in this case is the transporter of glucose inside the cell. The pores of the cell membrane can let enter inside only molecules with a certain molar mass (I've heard till 100g/mol), and as glucose is 180g/mol it cannot enter. And insulin transports glucose inside the cell, so when insulin is no longer produced then glucose is "left out"!

Correct?!

Obviously they skimped on an important element in rocket design - Viagra.

Type I is treated by insulin injection or inhalation, so I guess type I.

Actually, Insulin production may be normal but cellular response to its release lacking in some cases - the cells fail to take up glucose in response to increased Insulin release. Oral medications may improve the response to the Insulin if this is mild and prevent the need for Insulin therapy.

In other cases Pancreatic damage or autoimmune attack on the Insulin producing cells may reduce Insulin production. Then its replacement is essential.

The first cartoon was really funny. It reminds me of something I have heard. One of my high school english teachers told me this one. There is something called the English teacher disease. It can be deadly is situations such as this: You are about to fall off a ladder that is unstable and all you need to say is "Help!" to your buddy quick enough so that he can grab the ladder and make it steady. But instead of using quick, blunt words, you are an English teacher. You end up saying "Could someone please give me some assistance in steadying this ladder which is about to be taken down to the ground by gravity, causing me injury and possible death?" By the time you finish the sentence, you are already injured or dead.

iNow:

Very amusing. However, I saw just the first three scenes and sort of guessed at the fourth before scrolling down. I guessed that all the stock had gone before they made up their minds. A fifth scene, perhaps? Or: The sum total of an infinity of dithering equals zero (or something like that).
