swansont Posted November 27, 2007 Share Posted November 27, 2007 Assuming the force from the rocket stays constant, the acceleration should increase, because the force of gravity decreases, and because the mass decreases. F = ma Even if the reference is to the net force, the acceleration increases as the mass decreases.
