It's harder than picking a favorite ice cream flavor (or, flavour for those of you who speak the Queen's English ). At least with ice cream flavors, there are reasonable limits to the choices. In doing so he created the first theory with Lorentz and gauge symmetry and electromagnetic duality, of course this was not realised at the time. Yang and Mills for generalising the above.
