I'm currently trying to translate my sister's resume in english. So far I've done my best but being nor fluent neither a scientific, I'll be happy if someone could have a look and correct mistakes in it... because that's pretty sure there are some :)

Thank you very much!

Laure

I`ve just parsed it with a spell checker and have the above (altered) it`s stuck on a few things but they check out ok in another engine except the word "Completude" ?

and " Assistant to the engineer in charge of weed killers and pathologies on corn lines studies "

might be better sounding as: " Assistant to the engineer in charge of weed killers and pathologies on corn line studies " dropping the "S".

that`s the best I can offer for now, the others will know more :)

Personally, I'd drop the "Internet explorer". Too me it sounds like "can count to 100". You should check the correct capitalization of the words, I saw some words that I'd have capitalized (e.g. "Internet Explorer").

I think that the problem is that I don't understand some of the things there and I'm fluent in English. I think it's not a coincidence that they have marked with a §.

Those phrases are certainly not standard English.

For example, what does vegetal mean in

"Related Coursework : Vegetal Improvement and Genetics of the Populations "

I have some idea what

"§ Analyses and interpretations of gel on the chromatograph " means but I'm not sure, I think a biochemist or molecular biologist would be able to help.

Thigs like

"§ Castration of corn

§ Dating of female flowering " will get through a spell check without any problem - all the words are correct, but I doubt that they mean quite what was intended.

I'm personnally curious how age, nationality (although potentially important outside of the US, not so much within), and relationship status have any relevance to a resume.

In fact, most US laws on hiring state that, due to the risk of discrimination, one cannot take such factors into account when selecting a new staff member. I'd remove all three.

Best of luck to you both.
