grifter Posted May 28, 2007 Share Posted May 28, 2007 Yea I apologize, considering myself an astrophysicist, I should NEVER rule ANYTHING out and yes, there are a few convincing "big crunch" arguments, most of which reside on arxiv... there arguments revolve around the average density of the universe being enough to halt the expansion and begin a contracting... but as Martin and myself said above, this argument has stopped "holding water" as a result of recent research....
