~nerd~
Solve each equation by completing the square: 3x^2+x-2=0 Find the exact solution to 2x^2=9x-5 by using the Quasratic Formula. Find the value of the discriminant for each quadratic equation. Then describe the number and type of roots for the equation. 25x^2-20x+4=0 2x^2+10x+9=2x Write an equation for the parabola with vertex at (-4,2) and y-intercept -2. Solve 2x^2-7x-15<0 algebraically. Solve 3x^2-x=4 by factoring.

~nerd~
Did I say I needed that? No. I have no idea how to do it.
matt grime
Does wherever you got these questions from not explain all of these methods (googling will give you the methods too).
RyanJ
I suggest you start reading here - it should get you started We will not do your homework for you but if you showed what you had tried and then people cna point out where you went wrong and give you hints to point you in the right direction Cheers, Ryan Jones
s pepperchin
If you need help with homework you should list the questions and the work you have done so far. Also you should be posting under homework help.
YT2095
Thread moved. Next time, be upfront and honest with us, and loose the pathetic attempts of subterfuge, it`s insulting!
Cloud
First one -Once you complete the square it should look like this: (x+ 1/6)^2 - 1/36 = 2/3 (Then solve the equation) Second one just plug these values into the formula. a=2 b=-9 c=5 Third one - don't know (thats an english essay question, right?) The fourth one = y= ax2 + bx + c You already know what c is (-2) and a value of y and x (4, -2) 2 = (a x 16) + (b x -4) - 2 To find a and b - you have to do yet another simultaneous equation. I'm fed up with these type of questions. the fifth one - Just solve the equation any way (quadratic formula etc) Then write the x values as an inequality in respect to 0. Answer to last one: (3x +4)(x -1) The rest is up to you - fill in the blanks.
Dipumon_TC
1. 3x^2+3x-2x-2=0 //replaced x as 3x-2x 3x(x+1)-2(x+1)=0 (x+1)(3x-2)=0 x+1=0 so x=-1 3x-2=0 so x=2/3 Solve each equation by completing the square: 3x^2+x-2=0 Find the exact solution to 2x^2=9x-5 by using the Quasratic Formula. Find the value of the discriminant for each quadratic equation. Then describe the number and type of roots for the equation. 25x^2-20x+4=0 2x^2+10x+9=2x Write an equation for the parabola with vertex at (-4' date='2) and y-intercept -2.
