Y-S
if student is throwing a football, and some body's energy is not used for throwing the ball, what happens to this waste energy? And what would the input energy, converter and output energy would be? Thanks, would appreciated for help... i think the input would be glucose....... and output would be muscles i'm not sure bout converter though
ecoli
waste energy is usually lost through the skin as heat. The input energy would ultimately the food that is turned into ATP during the digestion process. The output energy would be the energy used to contract the muscles to throw the ball, the potential energy in the ball itself would be converted into kinetic energy. The converter would be the mitochondia of the body's cells, in very basic form.

Foi4895
The lost energy is entropy. We also produce sound that isn't used for work, so any grunting or yelling would be a very slight waster of energy. Also if a ball is being thrown repeatedly you could consider some of the work the diaphragm does as entropy (not thermodynamic entropy, but still a loss in energy doing real work within the system of the body) seeing as the lungs lose much efficiency as you get 'out of breath'.
