Darkblade48 Posted April 3, 2006 Share Posted April 3, 2006 You might want to look up a reactivity series to determine which metal will displace the other (i.e. if copper is more reactive than nickel, it will cause the nickel to precipitate out, or vice versa). Aka Posted April 3, 2006 Author Share Posted April 3, 2006 Copper is lower on the list than nickel so the nickel will replace the copper right? so it will turn out like this Cu(NO3)2+Ni= Ni(NO3)2+Cu but what happens to this one Ni(NO3)2+Cu= does it stay the same??????
