the tree
I was wondering as I had my scrambled eggs this morning, should I be having this a slice of bread or with a slice toast? Which is better from a health point of view?
YT2095
Bread Technicaly, as toast will contain traces of poly-cyclic Hydocarbons. you Must Really be bored!
gcol
you Must Really be bored! I was tempted to say that, but reckoned it would be rude. I also considered that if he worries about things like that, his mental health is more at risk than his physical. He might also consider how fortunate he is to have the luxury of that dilemma, considering how many people worry whether there is anything to eat at all. But there, I've said it anyway, guess I am bored too.
the tree
Actually I was just finding ways to procrastinate, but hey, now I've learnt something.
neo007
Actually...i've also wondered the answer to this question too.... and now i know ...But has this been scientifically proven?
YT2095
it is indeed scientificly proven fact, although you`de really need to over do your toast and eat alot of it to get any really significant quantities of PAHs I would have to say that a peice of toast for breakfast is Perfectly harmless IMO
scicop
Yup scientifically proven, and studies have also identified potentially carcinogenic compounds in char-broiled meat! Elegant Polymerase kinetic studies (nucleotide incorporation assays) have shown that some of these compounds actually attenuate polymerase fidelity (error rate) and polymerase processivity (time the polymerase is bound to the DNA). So, not fun stuff. Though..I wouldn't worry about a slice of toast, or that next hamburger...ya gotta live life!!
