woelen 18 Posted April 22, 2006 Darkblade is right. It is silver fulminate. These in fact are normal small pieces of stone (gravel), which are covered by a VERY tiny layer of silver fulminate. What is in snaps or drop poppers those little rocks wrapped up in paper that pop when you throw them against a hard surface, what makes them pop?
