Exponential Growth and Decay

Hi!As in the subject, we're doing that in math but I'm having a hard time to understand the concept of what's going on especially when it comes to interest, half-life, most of the questions regarding to what this topic is about. We have this formula

T=S®^P

I'm confused on how to use this formula. Can anyone please explain?:confused:

Exponential problems are based on e! It is a very special number that when used in functions like f(x) = e^x or also written as exp(x) create a unique type of distribution. The most notable thing is that the rate of change in the function at any value of x IS the value of x at that point.

 

If you could elaborate on what the variables in your T=SR^P mean, I may be able to help you there. I really have not seen anything resembling that as far as I can recall.
