Is it illegal to use certain drugs to remove memories?

I have a very traumatic filled set of memories, but most of all my memories remind me of a life that I really don't wish I ever or wouldn't wish on anyone. Painting a picture quite the lower quality of life. I feel if I had total amnesia, I would be able to sleep a normal amount again.

No drugs remove memories. Hiding from your trauma isn’t sustainable. Find help. Process it. Accept it. It’s part of your story and cannot be ripped out like some chapters worth of pages torn from a book.

Seconded.

@ImplicitDemands One really big favour you need to do for yourself bud, cut ties with those incel communities. Get out of them. They drag you down into their own crap and get you lashing outwards and inwards until you lose all respect for others and yourself. See people as people and not as means to an end.

What sort of access to mental healthcare do you have where you are from?

Whatever happened to you in the past wasn't your fault and you didn't deserve it. Like Iknow says though, you can't rip out the old pages but he was implying you can write happier ones in the future.

Our memories make us who we are.
If you don't like your present self, you can change that without getting rid of your memories.
Aren't those memories making you want to be a better person ?

Change your behaviour and thinking in a consistent way, you will eventually hardwire your mind to the new pattern. Nerves that engage in cognition and behaviour are highly plastic in their formative patterns and can form new permanent pathways if a stimulus is consistently applied over time. That's how we learn and remember things.
