Now this is very interesting! Despite the 7-sigma significance mentioned in the paper, this will of course require further corroboration. But if this turns out to be a real thing, then it would have far-reaching consequences. Definitely one to watch!

At first I thought this was a violation of isotropy and homogeneity, indicating the universe has a 'drection', but on reading the link, I realized it is another ( of a few ) parity violations.

Who knows, investigatng the cause of this effect at the earliest moments of the Big Bang, may shed some light on why the current universe is predomiinantly matter, and almost devoid of anti-matter.
( but I doubt it )

Yes, it took me some time to picture it in my mind. It's not the most intuitive picture I can think of.

A mirror asymmetry that's compatible with spatial isotropy and homogeneity is certainly possible. Every bit of tetrahedral clustering slightly skewed on the average.
