If a quote starts the post, a person cannot later insert lines before the quote

My most recent post in politics prevented me from adding a link to the start of the post to a .gov reference of the Elizabeth Holmes case. I looked for an edit HTML option, but there was none.

So press return before entering the quote to generate a blank line.

That's what I do.

Or take a minute to think about your layout and do it in the right order. You put the drywall up and then remembered the plumbing and electricity!

I believe you can also use Edit to click/hold on the quote box and physically move it down a bit, then insert your text.

I will try that, I have never found a way to move down the top quote short of using cut, followed by typing something in, followed by pasting the quote back in below the new typing.
