StringJunky Posted January 26, 2021 Share Posted January 26, 2021 (edited) The acid decomposes on heating to hydrogen fluoride gas, which then forms hydrofluoric acid with any moisture on your body it comes into contact with. MigL Posted January 27, 2021 Share Posted January 27, 2021 HF acid is particularly nasty, as it doesn't necessarily give indication that you've been exposed to it.
