studiot 2108 Posted January 11 (edited) I see that a company near me is offering products that 'protect against harmful radiation' via Amazon amongst other outlets. These are called smart dots, pet dots and slep dots. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-55613452 They appear to be just stickers for the rich and gullible. At first glance maybe, but it's clear that consumers simply need to put more dots on their phone to improve the protection. Also a couple on their hands, some on their ears, and perhaps dot a few other bits they'd like to keep from getting burnt or falling off. 🙄 I would pay for an app that tracked people around me who had these dots. Like Harry Potter's Maruader's Map, I could use it to avoid them (or seek them out if I have something to sell).
joigus 351 Posted January 11 Meanwhile in Nepal... Here's some people paying good money to get a dose of harmful radiation, compounded with hypoxia, frostbite, and perhaps more, all compounded by stress from overcrowding. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-48401491 It is not inconceivable that some of the same people would gladly buy those stickers.
