Do I need a covid-19 vaccination if I already had the disease

Recommended Posts

Serious question.  Some are saying that the antibodies do not last, however if this is true then the vaccine antibodies are also not permanent making the vaccine temporary for the current strain and useless to the new mutated strains evolving

The user is banned but I would just like to add that reduction of antibodies does not necessarily mean that a loss of immunity. Also, vaccines can be designed to elicit stronger immune responses. At this point, however, we do not know enough to make certain predictions.

As things evolve, we may need multiple vaccines and previous exposure is likely not going to lead to immunity for life. Flu vaccine must be updated annually, and one imagines the same will be true for any covid vaccine.
