ShibaTatsuya Posted March 29, 2020 Share Posted March 29, 2020 Hello everyone, I have just read anemia from my textbook and it says that intravascular hemolytic reaction i.e. acute hemolytic reaction (e.g. in a mismatched blood transfusion) could be complicated by hypovolemic shock. I think the hypovolemic shock comes from vasodilatation and the movement of fluids to extracellular regions. So, technically, the patient doesn't lose fluids, but there is still less in his blood vessels.
