But 3D scanner, like human, is only able to see, and recreate as 3D object, what is visible from the all sides from outside of the real object.

True 3D scanning, with internal (perhaps complex) structure, would require x-ray machine, with rotation of object, which would recreate slices with the all details (like holes inside).
