I'm doing a high school lab report/ extended experimental investigation (whatever u like to call it) and it's all about the calorimetry of fuels. Though this isnt really important, the fuels i'm doing are straight petrol, E25, E50, E75 and straight ethanol. But I'm really struggling to find any theory i could link to other than bond energies (for theoretical enthalpy). Could anyone direct me to any theoretical topics i could possibly look at? Or some chemical thermodynamics laws or laws or chemists?? Anything would be better than nothing. Just names of things would be great, i have enough time to look over it all.
