No, from the frame of reference of the poor soul crossing the EH, he or she will reach the center and doom in a small finite time. It just slows it down a lot. If we imagine that reality is a video with 1,000,000 frames per second, the BH puts the video in slow motion to (e.g.) 1 frame per second, seen from a distance! Is a Black Hole event horizon experimentally proven to exist? Isn't it rather a mathematical construct? Is anything experimentally shown concerning black holes? The only doubt is concerning the "nature" of the EH, and quantum effects. That does not invalidate the BH and the effects we see, and of course the recent discoveries of gravitational radiation emerging from bionary BH collisions. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
