Muscle glycogen phoshporylase

Recommended Posts

Hello, is muscle glycogen phosphorylase sensitive to glucose? I mean, is glucose an allosteric effector for the muscle isoform of glycogen phosphorylase? My answer would be no, but going through Voet's Biochemistry book I found a diagram in which glucose is depicted as a negative allosteric effector for glycogen phosphorylase in general, without specifying muscle isoform / liver isoform.

Thanks in advance!
