Intelligence of different political factions?

If you take  having a university degree as a proxy for "intelligence" and you consider  the two sides of the debate on the UK leaving the EU as "political factions". (both of which are very much debatable) then yes.

But it's not clear to what extent "having a degree" is actually just a proxy for "being young".

Which factions?

Ideally, I'd like to see liberal, conservative and libertarian, if it were sliced down to a more granular level, though, that would be great.

I'd prefer to see IQ test results, I don't think education is a good measure of intelligence (though I'm sure there's some correlation).

Globally or within a specific political system?

I don't think the overall education level or IQ of voters matter. Rather awareness of the policies that each candidate represents is what matters. A lot of people vote for candidates without being aware of what those candidates actually support.

I'm not sure that IQ "is a good measure of intelligence (though I'm sure there's some correlation)."

One side is noted for its opposition to critical thinking.
