studiot Posted October 2, 2018 Share Posted October 2, 2018 There is a general purpose equation for the interface under gravity that can be derived between two fluids which can be used when one is a gas. This depends upon knowing the density difference and also the conditions of the interface. I have highlighted the relevant section leading to equation 4 on the right hand page.
