Nice app for downloading Indian Postoffice Services.

Is there a facility for downloading Pincode / Zip code in Excel database or pdf format?

Thanks & Regards,

Posting to try and get others to do your work is getting rather tiresome. You have a question about a website, you go to THEIR help page and look for an answer. You want to know where to find information, use a search engine to find it.

Stop posting crap like this here.

Thank you.

I would suggest to have a e-commerce feature on the website where the consumer will get a facility to purchase Excel electronic workbook database of Pincode / Zip code by Debit or Credit card.

The Excel workbook will have the 29 states worksheets. Each worksheet will have the Pin code / Zip code city wise in that particular State.

Will this feature be useful?

Thanks & Regards,

No. Such data as city zip codes are available for free.. You just have to GOOGLE it on the Internet...

e.g. New York https://www.unitedstateszipcodes.org/ny/

find PIN code in India https://www.indiapost.gov.in/VAS/Pages/findpincode.aspx

I agree they are available for free in Unitedstateszipcodes.org & India post.gov.in sites using a search criteria.

But suppose somebody wants to have the complete database of Zipcode, is it difficult to build these information?

Will Excel or Pdf format document suffice for these data?

These data is not sensitive information so I feel these can be built?

Maybe as you suggested, the complete database of Pincode / Zipcode should be made available freely on the net to download.

One can also study the Pincode / Zipcode database.

I feel the Pincode or Zipcode electronic database should be available for every country on the net for downloading either free or at a small price !!!

No. It's moderately easy. Just make a PHP, Perl, Python etc. script, which will gather the all data.

It's called web scraping/data scraping.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_scraping

I just found website on which the all US Zip Codes are offered for $15. They offer also software to work together with their database for $20.

Can you please tell me the website where US Zipcodes are offered for $15?

I may purchase the Pincode / Zipcode electronic database where I can study how this was built.

You are not asking the right people. You would have to ask the people providing the service and their potential customers.

FFS: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=download+all+india+pincode+list+xls

First result: https://data.gov.in/catalog/all-india-pincode-directory

Quote

All india Pincode Directory contains all the pin-code list across India with geocodes and other relevant information like Office Name, Office Type, Delivery Status, Division, Region, Circle, Taluk, Districts, States, Telephones, Related Sub office and Related Head office etc. Postal Index Number (PIN) or PIN Code is a 6 digit code of Post Office numbering used by India Post. The PIN was introduced on August 15, 1972. There are 9 PIN regions in the country. The first 8 are geographical regions and the digit 9 is reserved for the Army Postal Service. The first digit indicates one of the regions. The first 2 digits together indicate the sub region or one of the postal circles. The first 3 digits together indicate a sorting / revenue district. The last 3 digits refer to the delivery Post Office.

Next time you want to ask a question, just go to google instead.

Why have you posted that here?

I would recommend that no one downloads this, other other zip files with unknown contents from unknown sources.
