Interesting. I hope this is not another loose cable like in Cern a few years ago. Is this sterile neutrino predicted anywhere? It looks like the standard model might go into pieces if this turns out correct, exciting.

It is an hypothesized particle, and one that is a contender for being a component of dark matter.
