Burning fuel creates various intermediate toxic compounds. But if you would use e.g. dry ice, liquid Nitrogen etc. etc. or other cooled solid substance which is sublimating at room temperature, it could pretend "smoke".. Search Google for "dry ice+water" e.g. Edited April 12, 2018 by Sensei

The view that nitrogen is a "cooled solid substance which is sublimating at room temperature" is- shall we say- interesting. Dry ice is a good option So is a smoke machine. Sensei
As always, John, you draw conclusions from words that have never been said.. "or other cooled solid substance which is sublimating at room temperature" means it's certainly not liquid Nitrogen.. (liquid Nitrogen is... hmm.. liquid, not solid substance....) sci-man
sensei, thanks for that but I'm looking for something that can burn without creating toxic compounds in the air so i dont harm anything in the sourounding area when i do the experiments and dry ice "smoke" does not fise like I need it to, also me being a teenager I cannot buy too many things like dry ice or liquid nitrogen on my own (so what i should have put was simple non-toxic cheap smoke bombs) but none the less I thank you for your imput on this subject. NimrodTheGoat
Impact smoke pellets? From a quick google search it seems that it only requires powdered sugar and potassium nitrate.

I'm glad you have now realised that liquid nitrogen is not a solid. What you said here On 4/12/2018 at 7:27 PM, Sensei said: .... dry ice, liquid Nitrogen etc. etc. or other cooled solid substance which is sublimating at room temperature,... implies that you thought it was a solid; that's the implication of the phrase "other cooled solid substance". Smoke pellets seem a much better idea.
