Call for Papers & Submissions

The 17th IEEE International Conference on Intelligence and Security Informatics (ISI), Shenzhen, China
July 1-3, 2019
Website: www.isi-conf.org

Intelligence and Security Informatics (ISI) research is an interdisciplinary research field involving academic researchers in information technologies, computer science, public policy, bioinformatics, medical informatics, and social and behavior studies as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence experts, and information technology industry consultants and practitioners to support counterterrorism and homeland security’s missions of anticipation, interdiction, prevention, preparedness and response to terrorist acts.
The annual IEEE International Conference on ISI (IEEE ISI) is a leading conference in security informatics domain, which was started in 2003 in Tucson, Arizona. Since then, the conference has been hosted in Atlanta, San Diego, New Brunswick, Taipei, Dallas, Vancouver, Beijing, Seattle, Washington DC, the Hague, Baltimore and Tucson. Over the past 16 years, the IEEE ISI Conference has evolved from its traditional orientation of intelligence and security domain towards a more integrated alignment of multiple domains, including technology, humans, organization, and security. The scientific community has increasingly recognized the need to address intelligence and security threats by understanding the interrelationships between these different components, and by integrating recent advances from different domains. This year, the IEEE ISI conference will be held in Shenzhen, China.

Good morning!

I am writing to you on behalf of the Inspiring Science Association. We are a non profit organization whose main goal is to enhance and encourage scientific vocations. We want to inspire young people to pursue a career in science by showing them how research is conducted and what it is like to be a scientist.

To do so, we are preparing the International Science Engagement Challenge (ISEC), a two-week summer camp in the small village of Baños de Montemayor, Spain. During these two weeks, participants between 16-24 years old will have the opportunity to work on a scientific project designed to fit their interests and scientific background. These projects are challenging, while simultaneously intended to be an introduction to scientific research: students will have to work independently, delve into the available literature, and write a scientific report. They will work under the supervision and guidance of one of our knowledgeable mentors, who will support, guide, and encourage al throughout camp.

We are currently receiving applications! We would sincerely appreciate if you could share this information with whomever you know that may be interested. No background or special skills are needed, however applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 24 and should have a passion for science!

You can find further information on our website: www.summeratisec.org
We also have a Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts that you can follow and help us to spread the word.

Thank you for your time! Best regards,

Carlos
