foreighn languages

Dak

Recommended Posts

iv noticed a few people her are learning/know a foreighn language, and it could be cool to have a forum where we could chat and improve our foreighn language. might also b useful as the chat would consievably have a scientifical slant,
Yeah that would be absolutely neat.

But in the mean time why not use the GD forumn and make a few posts in

there? e.g. One for German' date=' one for Nihongo etc. Create the volume

and the specialised forum will come .

Butsurigaku tanoshii desu ne.

Cheers.[/quote']okey-dokey: who here can speak a language other than english, how well can you speak it and would you be interested in practicing/improving it (or helping others practice/improve)

Butsurigaku tanoshii desu ne

i-e. butsurigaku tanoshii ja arimasein. butsurigaku hidoi desu. watashi wakariyasui butsurigaku ja arimasein :-(

kichi desu ka?

i-e. butsurigaku tanoshii ja arimasein. butsurigaku hidoi desu. watashi wakariyasui butsurigaku ja arimasein

Don't forget the particles. The first two should read:

"butsurigaku ga tanoshii ja arimasen. butsurigaku ga hidoi desu."

The third should be "butsurigaku ga wakariyasui desu", and leave off the "Watashi", as that's generally understood. If you do want to add it, to be specific, you should have added it to the first sentence, then omitted it from the last two. Also, "Watashi" needs to be followed by "wa" if it's the subject.

kichi desu ka?

"Kichi" is "good fortune". If you're asking if it was good, "ii" is the appropriate word for just "good".

Demo, anata wa nihongo o hanshimasu no ga ii desu.

@mokele-san.

urm, lesse. so does 'ga' sorta points at the word to which the verb 'desu' (or ja arimasein) relates, making it 'phisics is horrible' rather than 'horrible is phisics'?

"Demo, anata wa nihongo o hanshimasu no ga ii desu."

"also: you (as in me) speak japanese good"?

if thats what you meant, then: arigatou mokele-san; demo, watashi wa haishou gohou no nihongo ga ii ja arimasein.

WHAT I THINK I JUST SAID:

[hide]thank-you mr. mokele; however, i dont understand japanese grammar/syntax very well[/hide]

Mein Wortschaft ist sehr klein
tee-hee! i read 'wurstschaft' :D

Wow so much has happened, it's sorta taking off,

so lets keep it rolling.

I can advise in English and Swedish,

I'm so-so at German but could definately use conversation(rusty).

And I'm in the learners section on Japanese. But my Japanese

will improve once I dig up my old language kit. :)

dak-san.

asoo, anata ga butsurigaku nikumasu yo.

Oh I forgot to mention, regards German, that's o.k. at speaking, I cannot

spell german for nuts, so please correct spelling errors.

So here goes,

Ich heisse husmusen,

Ich besehendas fernsehprogramm Kommisar Rex.

Moser und Rex ist die besten.

Alles gute :)

Oui. J'mapple Hellbender. Je parlez vous francais.

Sorry but your french really sucks. The translation for your last sentence is this:

I speak you french.

a correction would have been useful. i believe it should be 'je parle fraunce' (although my french spelling is even worse than my english)

Je apprende fraunce au circle d' eddy izzard' date=' a je ameliore moi parle fraunce au internet; so je parlez fraunce a bizzare, wee?

husumusuen-san:

hai: watashi ga buksurigaku daikirai . ga baiorojii konomu desu.

[hide']yes: i hate phisics. i prefer biology[/hide] hmmm... was that structured correctly?were the 'ga's correct, and is the one in the last sentance unnessesary?

whats the difference between ka, ne and yo (as end-of-centanse-particles)? i think 'ne' is similar to the archaic 'neh' in english, so its sort of like "statement-your thoughts?'; and ka turns a statement into an out-right question, but what exactly is 'yo'?

Understand that I am currently a learner in this language.

But to the best of my knowledge.

I would have written "baiorojii ga"

As for particles,

Ka = "?"

Ne = Don't you think, don't you agree, no? as in "that's true, no?"

Yo = Opinion marker.

Kyô wa samui desu yo.

"I think it is cold outside"

Kyô wa samui desu.

"It is cold outside."

Kyô wa samui desu ka.

"cold outside?"

Kyô wa samui desu ne.

"It's cold outside, don't you think?".

dak-san

baiorojii konomu desu.

Ekuserento desu.

Watashi ga naasu desu.

Baiorojii konomui nimo.

Nanno konomui desu ka

Cheers.

P.S How does that spoiler thing work.

I'm curious as to how slang usage translates.

Is ano onna ga atsui desu yo. An proper construct?

Or is there a much better usage.

Cheers.

Read as I meant xlation of above nihongo:

Excellent!

I'm a nurse.

I like biology too.

What field/s?
