  1. There too small! and my tounge cant reach there!
  2. So to summerize: It evens out structual imperfections of the bullet and minimizes atmospheric variables? P.S. does anyone recall some member having evil Spock as there avatar? (bearded devilish looking spock) If so i think ill have to go with socrates.
  3. I could probably come up with something close to true, but for the smartys out there... Can anyone explain why a bullets spin adds accuracy? In good words and not mathmatics please.
  4. Saying that is pointless... in my short time here, ive noticed there is some psuedoscience, but much more disinformation/uneducation. I would hope more people wouldent chime in unless they know what there talking about or have something to add... this is not onto you, it just seems obvious to me.
  5. Its about about ability to Adapt to new enviorments. can be atrributed to turnover rate (generations) Hominoidea could be considerd a new class onto itself... we do many unique things..... ofcourse this includes humans, how does it not constitue new evolution? this can be traced to using sticks to get at termites perhaps? (also ripping off the genitals in combat )
  6. Yeah AC refers to Acro-clavicular, i believe its synonomous with shoulder separation... maybe i got it backwards from what the doc said. Mine were the most minor, they happend ages ago, the doc just saw them on my x-ray (cracked sternum). I fully agree its a misconception that its air... 98% of the time atleast.
  7. Um, are you sure this isnt some kinda sleepwalking with recall... it sounds odd. Your level of conciousness sounds like it was decreased. I dont think my mind could take seeing a tall dark figure...too X-files.
  8. How about he makes a huge cocktail of pshychoactives, Then goes crazy and turns the bunson burner on himself... Or same but breaks a beaker and slices his throat open, or breaths an inert gas as to euthanasia, or throws acid on his face.... Yes I love gory flicks.....
  9. Um, well yeah. There called AC separations. Its a tear to what holds bone to bone (ligaments) mine are minor, doc called them 3rd degree.. most people get them from throwing to many baseballs or banging there shoulder hard. Shin separations (shin bang) I know have a capacity to heal.. never learned this, but know it from expirence. No idea why.
  10. Im sorry for not posting that long list, I really thought I would... See you have alot of people here with lack of expirements to perform. Alkalai metal in your mouth would be funny and very gory/painfull.....
  11. Yes its common and is often just Air (I read something on drinking soda alongggg time ago, I think it was bullshit though). It can also be floating chunks of cartilage. Im only 22, all my joints seem to pop and crack. The only 2 that hurt is my neck and my shoulders. My neck is from whats called "huck neck", its a skier thing... when I broke my sternum I learned from X-ray I have minor dual AC (shoulder) separations. This is what prevents me from doing lateral raises when lifting. Instead I have to do the girly lat shooters, it sucks. I often think its best to just work through it (especially if it doesent hurt) rather than let it fill your thoughts.
  12. ^ I I I I Hey, been there done that... Might aswell give you a few pointers... When I quit, I just read wikipedia for 18 or so hours straight at a time. Go from link to link, and try to make you brain think what your interested in. Yeah the anorexia sucks, food doesent taste as good I know. Sleep is very difficult. Video games and Tv seems pointless, there so fun when your high, but seem dull when your quitting. Alot of the misperception about weed is that not only does smoking open your mind, but so does quitting... Its a wonderfull drug... in moderation.
  13. Or he could just be very informed/intellgent, and be trying to explain something very complex in 3 paragraphs... The argument that i didnt know much about HUP was brought up, I doubt anyone here knows much to the math and proof behind it. He went into the propertys of color reflection of fundemental particles... this has been an interest of mine for a long time, something I know nothing about. I Understand proof apon observation (ala Hubble) Ive always wonderd about proof apon math... that is those 88 pages (general relativity), how one could use math (lorntze, yes mispelled!) to prove something so complex. The idea of the forementioned doesent seem so complex to me, but to proove it with math.... this I dont understand... This is why I will always be a student and not a prodigy... and have a keen interest in history. To that, Analogys seem to be a fundemental study of mine, I love them. If anyone did not know what I was talking about, do challenge me to clarify.
  14. I dont understand it, indeed spooky, but sounds reminicent of tesla.
  15. Haha so classic.. yep, all sorts of things to fill your creative mind with... tomarrow ill post a good list if noones done it yet.
  16. Bignose, That was a very keen, isightfull, and clear response. I appreciate it greatly. It hit on many accords. I agree with you whole-heartly apon the respect issue. To say words are often difficult for me is a farse, to say spelling/grammer, and managing the perception of such is difficult is a understatment. Still I could go on for hours as to why I shouldent put precidence into managing such. It was not compleatly sub-conscious that i knew i-Now may have just mispercived my thoughts. It has occured to me a few times i should go back and study english. This is compleatly against what is i am good at, even though there would be many benifits. This can even be shown in this reply (tried to use periods and proper paragraphs). My reliance on Elipsisis, excessive use of commas, and run on sentences I am very aware of. I suppose I really do beleive that people should be able to see through incapacity... and ability to such would be usefull in there own lifes.. Im not as hard to understand as Tim Peek, nor as dictorally intellegent. Not to be Nuerotic, but perhaps there isnt much of a place here for me, and i should return to something else.
  17. From what I know PA is an education onto itself... College is a good chunk of your life and you shoud make it worthwhile... I know its alot, but try to find something that strikes a balance between what you want to learn, what your interested in, and what you seem to be good at.
  18. Okay continue yourself... I was wrong, must be 7th grade banter. Ditch the TKD, pickup Judo or just read a bit more. Im going to make this a clear and simple as possible (in realation to what were supposed to be talking about). That is how HUP relates to destiny right? is that your contetion? apparently the unstupid have an disability to words? IF you could deduce on the scale of fundemetal particles and energies where something is, its trajectory, and speed.. at the exact moment of the big bang, you could deduce the interactions of all fundemental particles and engergies thereafter. Or run it backwards from todays time and see the past.. Its analogous to a pool table loaded ready for a break. If you have a camera and understand physics you can deduce how the balls react as to speed and trajectory of the cue ball (thats the white one right?) Without HUP it could be considerd things at the quantum level could be predicted in this manner... and we could see the future, the past, all interactions would be known and nothing we could do could change it..... Ofcourse this is impossible do to finite engergy in the universe, thats why i said GIVEN SYSTEM.....
  19. Yes. As to alcholism is the most common drug of abuse, genetic studys have been flooding in... I could not say anything is difinitive, nor could i remember anything specific that ive read (theres alot). This was the second link on google search "alcholism genetics" http://alcoholism.about.com/od/genetics/Genetics_of_Alcoholism.htm
  20. I dont find spelling so important as you. I find Interpetation of words and thoughts to be of premier importance. I do not pretend to understand it in its entirity, nor even close... I do believe i have a good grasp apon it... If you have misunderstood what i have said or have a counter-argument do present it... I myself try to stay away from 5th grade banter (to which i just slighly engage in).
  21. We seem at a point in time when the term "deasease" is no longer proper, even for the layman.... Alchoholism has genetic and eviormental factors which cause an interuption to fruitfull life... it would be better classified as a disorder to that... But what if someone just wanted to be shitbrains there whole life? Like a monk, but for alchohol rather than spirituality? is this a disorder? or is it a condition? Homosexuality is much to the same... I believe most cases to be of Genetic (nature) influences. However I am certin (more so to females as to my unscientific personal expirence) There are some instances of Homosexuality that arrive primarily from Enivormental cuasation (nurture). As to most things in science, it is often a combination of many factors. This is why Psychology is the most "arty" of all medicines... I think psychology is at its core medicine, and important to modern thought/understanding... I also hope most students of such realize the horrors of the art which wont be properly documented for another 50 years..... Anyone that reads the DSM knows that it either ignores, or has very little to say of cuasation... Peoples minds and expirences are so unique. It seems as though almost any psychological situation, can arise from almost any cause. Also is homosexuality a psychological problem if it arose from a nurture element? that is as it is to there mind? People tend to avoid such loaded questions, but most psychologists would say no, so long it dosent significantly impair ones normal functioning... But what is normal functioning? Everybody will have there own definition. And to forget the wrench that is epigenitics being thrown it to the gears.... As run dmc would say "its tricky....tricky...tricky,tricky,tricky,tricky.
  22. I will have to think of difining "free will", you are very correct. A basis would be that a free-will universe allows cause & effect to exist on a macro level, that is that if you drive fast, your more likely to die in an auto crash. In a destiny universe... (i point out its a principal, not a theory) Everything that is, was, and we cant do anything about it... Though thanks to hizenberg we will never know. In a destiny universe + quantum foam... This is the random universe, there are known outcomes (dominos) being influeced by unknown varibles (random fluctiuations), it doesent nessesaraly negate "macro cause & effect", And indeed that would make a third variable... this would be the "luck" universe. You made it click, thank you. I Think I misiterperted... I agree with clumpiness now, becuase i saw what you were talking about... The problem with this is the 11 possible outcomes of the roll, 2-12 (not the sample size of rolls, but the sample size of possible outcomes on an individual roll). Say for example you roll a 2, the next roll you have 1/11 chance of rolling another 2, and on the next roll the same odds apply. These odds do not make it improbable to have "clumps", not at all... Try your expirement with 2 handfulls (say 50) dice, your level of "clumpiness" will decrease (but still be observable) I thought you were stating overall smothness is effected by clumps, and that would negate statistics (although there could be a mechanical reason dice roll one number more often).
  23. Im no chemist, but perhaps ricen would be something to think about.
  24. Is this luck? I just realized alot of you seem to be from Aus/NZ, the one good freind i have scientific conversations with is of Austrailian decent... Luck? Coincidence?, or Nature?
  25. I found this very hard to believe... I looked for some lititure on it to no avail. This seems to go against what I know, may I present that it could be Enviormental/mechanical issues or a weak sample size... I would think this would be the premier unsolved problems in mathmatics if it was easily proveable to be true.
