1. There are videos of this on you tube, with buckets of boiling water and hot cups of coffee and they throw the liquid up in the air first, it looks fairly cool:-)
2. You get the proof then we'll admit it:D How could you think we'd do such things;)
3. I've a slightly different one here, tried to attach it but not sure if I've done it properly, will check:eyebrow: Yes it works, it's called "Paired -sheet structure of an A(1-40) amyloid fibril revealed by electron microscopy" Carsten Sachse*†‡, Marcus Fa¨ ndrich†‡§, and Nikolaus Grigorieff*§¶ *Rosenstiel Basic Medical Sciences Research Center and ¶Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Brandeis University, MS 029, Waltham, MA 02454-9110; hope it helps
4. I've chosen Arizona Cardinals, I know nothing about American football but I like the name as for chick flicks against American football I'd have to say it's the lesser of two evils! :0 Chick flicks that is
5. No I don't believe in god, even as a child when I had to go to church, I always thought it was all just stories and make-believe, I was actually quite surprised to discover later that people actually really do believe in god
6. Exactly what I was going to say:-) If you want to hallucinate, make some cakes or biscuits with weed:D
7. Its mainly the sidechain parts of an amino acid that will contribute in hydrogen bonds, look for the ones that have O o N at the end of their side chains
8. Hey I already said that one on another thread about chat-up lines:-) Q: Why did the dinosaur cross the road? A: Chickens hadn't evolved yet. Chemists do it periodically on table. Q: Why did Albert Einstein cross the street? A: To get away from Niels Bohr. But when he got to the other side Bohr was there also. I kind of wish I could say these jokes were mine but truth is I just copied them from a web site (hope they haven't already been said)
9. On the news today it was reported that drinking lots of cups (I think it was 6 or more) of instant coffee could induce hallucinations in some people, mainly hearing voices and seeing people apparently. If you worked in a busy office and drank coffee all day how would you even realise that you were hallucinating?
10. Yeah they are great, I often watch it late on a Friday on BBC4 if I've had a few drinks, you don't really need to concentrate to know what's happening, classic
11. Well mrsemmapeel is a cool, smart, mysterious and sexy lady and so apart from the smart bit I figured we had alot in common;) She is a character from a TV show called The Avengers just in case you've never heard of her, played by Dame Diana Rigg

14. Anyone seen Dexter? He's the serial killer with a code, he only kills killers. I know he's fictitional but thought I'd contribute.
15. How about if a moderator draws 3 things - not house - as that's obvious, then thinks of these things for 24 hours and we have 24 hours to guess OR maybe we should do some some of online test that tests reflexes or logical thinking, then drink a bit of alcohol (until you're feeling the effects) then repeat the tests and compare results, relaxing and scientific!
16. yeah I thought I might get some new arms, nice strong ones like Mr T
17. If I were a protein I'd be DNA helicase so I could unzip your genes (jeans)
18. Proteins do many things some are secreted to target receptors on other cells, like hormones, some are catalysts for reactions in the same cell or other cells, like enzymes, plus proteins make up other structures, like receptor proteins at plasma membranes. It really depends on the specific protein as to where it goes and what it becomes. ATP is used in many cellular reactions, they are involved in phosphorylations of proteins etc, ATP is a molecule that is needed for many reaction to occur, its usually broken down to ADP or AMP then re-established when phosphates are added. I hope this helps a little:)
19. I took one at school too and it came up with Private detective, which actually sounds kinda fun, maybe one day I'll set up my own agency!
