    So, our system architects decided to completely revamp our UI framework. Now I get to learn Angular JS, Spring, and JBoss. Going to be an interesting year, I think.

    Ankle's better, house is clean, family is reasonably healthy, work is going well. It's a damned good day.

      Yah, it happens. Cats are out to get me, I can see it in the furry little faces.

    Stitches are out, jaw is back to normal (minues the small hole they had to drill in it, and at last I can bite into charred animal flesh straight from the grill. All may not be right with the world, but I'm pretty content.

      Well, I have to admit, it's not bad. The wife and kids are gone for the weekend (until Sunday), so I have the place to myself, if you don't count the cats. Time to catch up on some reading and play some Civilization V.

    Surgery time. Going in tomorrow to (finally!) have this abscess taken out of my upper jaw.

      The surgery itself wasn't bad. The healing it a bit painful. The stitches keep getting caught on things and pulling. I've managed to hit myself in the mouth with my own hand twice since then, to generally hilarious results.

      Also turns out it was not an abscess, it was a cyst. I was unaware those could form inside bony masses, but apparently calcium structures do not deter your body from forming them.

      Sounds as if you are having a rougher time than expected and glad you are able to see the funny side. Your stitches should be coming out soon and then I hope all will be well for you.

      Going to watch my oldest son graduate from high school. He starts UNC in the fall.
